The Trump administration could soon implement tariffs on China, Canada and Mexico, impacting the U.S. and Wisconsin's top three trade partners.

U.S. President Donald Trump still plans to make good on his promise to issue tariffs on Canada and Mexico on Saturday, White House spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt said on Tuesday. Leavitt told reporters in her first White House press briefing that Trump also is still "very much" considering fresh tariffs on China for Saturday.

China has strengthened trade with Latin America at the expense of the U.S. But Donald Trump, who threatens to raise tariffs on Mexico, could upend those ties.

Leavitt, in her first press briefing in White House added that President Trump is also considering announcing a fresh tariff on China on February 1.
