An Indian court has sentenced a police volunteer to life in prison after finding him guilty in the rape and killing of a trainee doctor last year.

A man has been sentenced to life in prison and will serve a minimum of 21 years for a crime police described as "heinous". Sakander Hussain, 25, was found guilty of murdering Wallis Webb in September following a four-week trial, and was handed the sentence at Northampton Crown Court on 17 January.
