Omar Marmoush seemed on the verge of joining Manchester City on Friday as his current club Eintracht Frankfurt confirmed it was in talks with City and said the Egyptian striker would probably leave. Marmoush was not in the squad as Frankfurt beat Borussia Dortmund 2-0 in the Bundesliga but joined his teammates on the field after the game for an apparent farewell as fans cheered.

According to the information of Sky Germany’s Patrick Berger, Marmoush’s salary at Manchester City will be worth around €16 million gross per year, and as such €10 million net over the same period.

Eintracht Frankfurt left forward Omar Marmoush out of their squad to take on Borussia Dortmund on Friday and said he is in talks to leave the club ahead of an expected move to Manchester City.
