Kendrick Lamar gained more than a few new fans after his much talked-about performance in Super Bowl LIX. One supporter who has admired the hip-hop icon way before he took center stage at arguably the biggest sporting event in America, however, is Los Angeles Sparks forward Cameron Brink.

Kendrick Lamar is on top of the music world right now, after the Los Angeles-based rapper took center stage during halftime of Super Bow LIX on February 9, where the Philadelphia Eagles defeated the Kansas City Chiefs by a score of 40-22.

“When the [WNBA] draft was going on, we were doing questions on the orange carpet. The question was: Kendrick or Drake?” the Los Angeles Sparks first-round pick recalled on a recent episode of the Straight To Cam podcast. “And everyone chose Drake, and I was the only one that chose Kendrick.”

On the Straight to Cam podcast, Brink reflected shared the hilarious story of when she was asked in a Complex video whether she supported Kendrick Lamar or Drake. "When the [WNBA]

"I work with Kendrick, and he noticed that you were the only person who [picked] him," an alleged Lamar associate told Brink.

Kendrick Lamar is just the fourth musical act to own the Hot 100's top three on more than one occasion, joining The Beatles, Taylor Swift, and his rival, Drake.
