The Chicago Cubs made waves late last week with their reported interest in trading for former Houston Astros closer Ryan Pressly. The deal, however, dragged on as Pressly pondered on whether he’d wave the full no trade clause in his contract to allow the deal to happen.
The Chicago Cubs today unveiled “The Yard,” a new outdoor space complete with five new semi-private rental spaces designed to help fans enjoy the excitement of the Budweiser Bleachers as if they were in their own backyard.
The Cubs are adding a new outdoor rental space among the Wrigley Field bleachers, located above the batter’s eye in center field and named “The Yard.” Tickets for the space, which can accommodate groups as small as four or as large as 50 with a semi-open floor plan, go on sale Wednesday.
Pressly has already spoken with Cubs manager Craig Counsell and Cubs president of baseball operations Jed Hoyer.
