Texas-based company Presidio Investors has acquired 100 per cent of Hellas Verona, completing a takeover from former owner Maurizio Setti.

United States private equity firm Presidio Investors has completed a deal to buy struggling Italian club Hellas Verona from Italian entrepreneur Maurizio Setti, the Serie A side said on in a statement on its website on Wednesday.

Napoli continued their charge for the Serie A title by moving four points clear at the top of the table with a victory over Hellas Verona.

Hellas Verona has become the eighth club in Serie A to be under American ownership after Texas-based Presidio Investors took full control.
