The Tampa Bay Lightning scored three goals in a span of 3:42 less than four minutes into the second period to break the game open and went on to defeat the Red Wings 5-1 at Amalie Arena. The Red Wings got on the scoreboard with a power-play one-timer from Lucas Raymond late in period two. Raddysh’s power-play goal from the top of the setup extended the Lightning lead on a play in which Kucherov earned his 600th NHL assist.
Marco Kasper scored twice, Lucas Raymond had a goal and three assists, and the Detroit Red Wings rallied to beat the Los Angeles Kings 5-2. Elmer Soderblom scored his first goal of the season and Alex DeBrincat also scored as Detroit erased a 2-0 first-period deficit.
Tampa Bay does everything but score against Detroit and has nothing to show for it in another loss to a division opponent.
