VANCOUVER – JJ Peterka set up Juri Kulich's tying goal midway through the third period and scored the game-winner with 6:27 left as the Buffalo Sabres rallied for two goals to beat the Vancouver Canucks, 3-2, Tuesday night in Rogers Arena.

Kulich played 17:47 in Vancouver, posted his first career three-point night and went 9-11 on faceoffs – but it was notable that he was 4-1 over the final 10 minutes and his faceoff win directly led to the winning goal.

The Buffalo Sabres’ four-game road trip now takes them to Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome for a Thursday night matchup with the Flames. On Tuesday, the Sabres rode their top line to a 3-2 comeback victory in Vancouver, their third win of the season when trailing after two periods.

Lindy Ruff was so upset with what he saw in Monday’s loss in Seattle, he made everybody take Tuesday’s morning skate and used it as a practice. Ruff wanted battles and he wanted players to the net. He got exactly that in the first period.
