On Thursday, Garrett was officially named a finalist for the prestigious Associated Press (AP) NFL Defensive Player of the Year award, recognizing his dominant performance during the 2024 season despite the team's 3-14 record.

Burrow, who led the league in passing yards (4,918) and passing touchdowns (43) this season, was named an MVP finalist alongside Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen, Philadelphia Eagles running back Saquon Barkley, Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff, and Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson.
