Temperatures held in the upper 40s Saturday night into most of the day. Then a cold front arrived mid-afternoon with much drier air. This cleared out the mist and fog as temperatures dropped quickly into the low 40s.

A rare winter storm charging through Texas and the northern Gulf Coast on Tuesday has closed highways and airports and prompted the first blizzard warning for southeast Texas and southwest Louisiana.

With Sunday's highs in the upper 40s and low 50s, North Texas will see its first major soaking of the year later this week, bringing heavy rain and possible flooding from Wednesday to Friday.

Tuesday morning will start milder than Monday morning, with lows in the 40s thanks to increased cloud coverage ahead of our next system.Tuesday afternoon will be seasonable, with temperatures topping out in the upper 50s for DFW.
