The Santa Ana winds are expected to strengthen into Sunday morning with gusts of 30 to 50 mph in coastal areas, and up to 70 mph in the mountains.

Fires rage out of control in Los Angeles on Sunday, five days since they began ripping across the county. The death toll has risen to at least 16 people, with nearly 200,000 displaced. At least 39,000 acres of land have burned down — an area about two-and-a-half times the size of Manhattan.
