By now, we've all heard the story lines surrounding Notre Dame head coach Marcus Freeman competing against his alma mater, Ohio State, for the national title down in Atlanta. Obviously, his focus is geared towards the team and getting them mentally and physically prepared for a 60 minute battle inside of Mercedes-Benz Stadium.

Marcus Freeman and James Laurinaitis go back a ways when the two played at Ohio State together. Both former linebackers, Freeman and Laurinaitis anchored a Buckeyes defense that went to back to back BCS National Championship games.
