Charlotte Hornets star guard LaMelo Ball will be re-evaluated in 1 week after an MRI exam confirmed a left ankle sprain, the team announced Wednesday.

Against the Lakers on Monday night, all-star PG LaMelo Ball suffered an ankle injury. He had an MRI on Wednesday and it revealed a left ankle sprain. Ball is expected to miss at least one week for the Hornets.

Lee was told postgame of Ball’s latest status. MRI results on his left ankle confirmed that it is a left ankle sprain, and the Hornets said their guard will be re-evaluated in one week, news that the head coach welcomed but still leaves his team in a bit of limbo at present.
