The news that Rep. Granger was found in a senior living home after months away from the Capitol has added new fuel to concerns about the lack of term limits for lawmakers.

U.S. Rep. Kay Granger, the retiring Fort Worth Republican who has been frequently absent from Congress for months, said in a statement Sunday she has been facing “health challenges.”

Rep. Kay Granger has not cast a vote in Congress since July and stepped down from the powerful House Appropriations Committee in March.
